more pressure builds up in a ported box over a sealed box, I guess i am bias twords Birch - easier to use, makes less saw dust, stronger, lighter, resist moister way-way more. I only us MDF when i half to anymore, for less that $10 a sheet difference i just cant see why not to use it.

depends on material box is made of.... if birch above help is correct, mdf on the other had is very pourous and applying resin over the complete box would make it more air tight (yes air will pass through the mdf - search for mdf and shop vac videos) so it will make the boxes air loss loss much...

4th order, port thru rear deck with 2 6" aeros.....

i like the hammered rustic look of the port..... goes along with the stained box..... looks sharp....

wire them as 4 ohm each speaker, then together back to 2 ohm, find an amp that does 1500 at 2ohms, box will deteremine if they can take more power, here is 4 d2 12's in a 4th 148 db at 37hz.

i used several of his alts, never a problem, did advertise outputs, i am also one of his dealers along with sundown, audio technix, crescendo, I know he is working on many brakets for different cars, i even talked with him on having them made on a CNC machine.
