    Kicker vs MTX

I don't know how much power they're rated for, but I would take a guess at maybe around 400w rms each. A good bang for the buck amp would be an eD Nine.1 mono amp Elemental Designs: Car Stereo, Home Speakers, Electronics They have a special deal going on for them pricing it at $250 which is a...

    Kicker vs MTX

The specs on the Fi X12 listed here https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154c9ab42ade990/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0045_X/product_overview.shopscript are extremely good for the price, I would not pass it up if I was in the market for a budget 12" sub!! Most regular joes...

    haha those f-ing neighbors

It's a simple fact, not a lot of people ESPECIALLY the elderly in particular like loud bass like we do, and many have just about no tolerance for it. It would be super easy to be labled a neighborhood nuisance, esp with a couple 15's going full blast for just 30 seconds. Just take it somewhere else.

Engine whine and ground loop fixes... take two

I need to try that out, ground the RCA's to the the stereo case... I'm on my second Pioneer due to this ground loop problem and at the same time, my sub amp has died for the second time because of this. I get a lot of popping noise when the doors are opened and anything that's electronic in the...

Powering a single sub with a 4ch amp

Yeah I was thinking it through in my mind, the impedance rating matches, if gains are set at a matching output, maybe that wouldn't hurt anything. My two eD 8's are getting a little noisy from beatin the crap out of them for the past year. The PDX amps caught my eye because of their compact...

Powering a single sub with a 4ch amp

It was something that popped in my head. I was looking at the newly listed Alpine PDX amps on woofersetc, and the 400 watt 4ch model caught my eye, mostly because of its lower price. Is it possible to run one dual 4ohm sub connecting all 4 channels to all 4 voice coil terminals (since the amp is...

Alpine has new shallow mount Type R's comming soon.

Thats cause the RE line of RE Audio subs are down their in the low end side, not really built for high output.

Alpine has new shallow mount Type R's comming soon.

I'm happy with the output of a couple 8's. Before building a box for a 12" sub I'd like to buy a couple RE Audio rex8 subs. I have an old RE8 and its still kickin and always sounded great.

I know man I need some new subs soon lol! I been beatin the **** out of these things for a year and they're starting to rattle a little bit now. So I'd like to find a good 12" shallow sub. EDIT: I gotta keep my back seats though, I ride around alot with friends and plus I wanna keep the...
