1 XXX 15 vs. 2 12 brahmas

ok i know you guys hate these, but i would like to know which one would have better sq and get louder. this is the story i go to a tiny school in nh and this kid with 1 15' xxx, thinks hes the ****. he is powering it with an audiobahn A1500HCT in like a 3ft^3 poted box. i just want to know if i can beat him with 2 12' brahmas in a much better setup. like an actually decent box and amp.

the two brahma's deffinetly have the potential to get louder, especially ported. they'll sound **** good too. but his xxx probably doesnt sound too shabby either.

two 12" brahma would kill that 15" sealed or ported. but in your case, i would go ported and slaughter him. =P

What his box tuned to? I bet ya put that xxx in the right box with a better amp and you'll take him. uh yeah two 12's would be louder in most installs.

although i've always like XXX also, it seems to capture the hearts of alot of sub enthus.

good luck buying either new right now. Adire is ONLY through dealers now, and I don't know if the XXX is out yet.

i am not sure what his box is tuned to. but exactly how big of a box would i need, and tuned to what? i was thinking of like a nine.1 or something in the 1500 range to power these beasts. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Since Brahmas are dual 2, the MTX 1501D comes to mind. Figure 1500 real RMS watts @ 2 0hm.

the xxx could sound alto better with a better amp...... as for ur brahmas, cone area adn the right box would reign supreme, look into those SX12's instead...u can accualy get those right now.... just remember, more cone area, good box, ample power, ur in the game

Yeah i read that the XXX will have XBL^2, because LMT is TCsounds, and the XXX is not being buil by TCsounds.
