I've got a 1988 dodge D150 trying to decide if I should do two 8s or 4 6.5s I would buy a matching amp for either set, also wondering if it's possible to re build a HU to have more modern features and more pre outs, current stereo is pioneer KEH 4200 has aux and casset with multi CD support but was wanting to maybe add Bluetooth and maybe another pre out since truck only has two speakers don't need 6 channel pre outs never gonna get too loud since subs are going behind seat

I have never heard of rebuilding a head unit. They are so cheap now days just go buy a new one. 2 8's will be plenty loud in that truck I have 1 in my 2011 rcsb gmc sierra.
