I am thinking of uping the power on the mids and highs to 125 watt/channel. Any recommendations on how big my sub amp should be ?? I am only running a 10" in a sealed enclosure. I had always heard 3 times the power up front. Any suggestions ??

The sub I am running is a Alpine SWR-1040D, my current system has a Rockford 600a5 amp 50x4 and 200x1 at 2ohm.

You have a blown cap in the amp more than likely. Had the same thing happen to a soundstream amp.
