Ok, so I got my AQ2200D today, and I'm a little confused by the way the speaker terminals are set up. Most mono block amps have one neg and one pos speaker output, but this one has two, and the layout is confusing the hell out of me.

I'm trying to connect 2 15" Fi Q (Dual 1 ohm VC) to a one ohm load on the amp. I am wiring the subs' voice coils in series for a 2 ohm load per sub, and I need to wire the subs in parallel with one another for a one ohm load.

How would I do that on this amp, with a jumper wire or something between the ++ and -- terminals?? Thanks

Doesn't matter, its a mono block.
They're just there so you don't have to cram a bunch of wires into one terminal.
Ok, so I could simply run four wires out and match the pos and neg them in to whichever sub I want, and have the same result? I know you're the one to ask about this jbizzle cuz you had one, just don't wanna blow nothin' up... lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Just cuz in the pictuure of the AQ manual it shows a Y connection between the POS and NEG outputs.

Yep, its just made so its easier for the user.

Jbizzle is correct. The dual outputs are connected inside the amp. It is made that way to be easier to connect multiple woofers.

I've had about 10 different mono block amplifiers over the past couple years, and all of them are set up like this one..........so I wouldn't say most mono blocks have 1 pos and 1 neg comming out. It's pretty common anymore.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
