So I just looked at it for the first time in a while. 8/10 was a good rating for it. Signs of normal use. No major stratches on actual unit. A couple scratches on little metal piece that has the rubbert feet on it. Here's a pic from my phone.

How does this compare to the Passport 8500? Aren't they close to the same thing?

From what I remember when I was doing research in buying the unit -- they are very very close. I know there are a lot of reviews and comparisons online with this radar detector, the passport 8500, and the valentine one.
