Best Amp for 2 06 Kicker L7's?

Older Kicker L7's and they have been bumped hard by this cocky audio guy but he was only running a kickr 750.1 so im tryin to buy his own **** set up and show his ass up but I know these are one of the most well known subs out there so what amp would be the best to use? I was thinkin a kicker 1500.1 mayb a 2500.1 but i dnt wanna blow em. Opinions?

BTW I was looking for an amp to add another L7 on in the future so Id like it to have more than enough power
