^^ thanks for the advice! I'll probz hold onto my G3 for quite a while longer. If yall had to guess, what should I expect in changes if I were to move from a g3 with 500w in a good ported enclosure to a Q in a homemade sealed box with 1k-1,200w? In terms of everything, sq, spl, tightness/accuracy, boominess.. all of it

Definitely go ported because I didn't have good results with them in a sealed box, The 12 inch G3 will be fine with 500~700 watts RMS, I believe their coil will burn up before the suspension bottom out.

What was wrong with it in a sealed box? Did you do the high qts option? I've heard everyone say that sealed is a great way to go for that sub... I'm just really confuses about this port area issue... How am I to know how big diameter port I need? If I could just keep my current box which is a very good box, I would be content

1k easily and only needs a 1.5 cube sealed box. does not like ported designed just for sealed. us built
