I was on here awhile ago and found a link to a website that sold a retrofit to change your original speaker cut outs. I drive an explorer and it only has 6 x 8 cut outs and i want to get 6.5 retrofit screw ons. Any ideas
yep, get a piece of 1/2" mdf cut out the pattern you want cut a 6.5" hole and mount it after hitting it with some paint to seal it up and prevent swelling.

I have a 03 exploder.

Take the factory speaker, flip it over onto a piece of .5 mdf or birch, whatever.

Trace the speaker,

Cut what you traced out,

Cut a hole for your 6.5,

Install.
