First, I'd like to thank the members on here for their guidance on amps for my boat. I have finally bought and received the amp, so now I am ready to install - only one problem? I have limited space!
Okay, okay, so I should of bought a smaller amp, which I considered, but they seemed to be more expensive. So, what gives, spend more on a smaller amp, or more on fabricating a place to mount. Oh well, it is what it is. Also, it isn't a marine amp, but I figured even marine amps require some type of protection from elements too regardless if it is car versus marine.
So, I need to mount my amp (Phoenix Gold Xenon 2-Channel), and in order to get an idea of what location, I cut out a card board sized template of the amp. Roughly 10 x 14" (and 3" thick).
Of all the locations I checked, it would only mount in the two areas depicted below. Does anyone have any ideas what I could do, or use, or fabricate?
Remember: I like to spray out my boat at a car wash, so some type of container would work best so the amp wouldn't be subject to the mist of the spray gun.
Honestly, I didn't think mounting the amp would be so difficult. But, I am very limited in space for these.
