These probably won’t be the prettiest subs you’ve ever seen, but will definitely be unique. Most are fresh recones, but some of them were used for 2 or 3 burps at finals the last time the van was out. They have custom water jet cut ¼” aluminum spacers to help them hold up better under the extreme pressures created in the van. You will also notice by looking at the pictures that I have spared no expense on the glue. Both the front and back of the surround joint have reinforced glue joints as well as a hefty extra bead around the dust cap. The baskets have plenty of paint scuffs from coming in and out of the van, and it is likely the bottom of the motors have plenty of scuffs from sliding across the table. The one in the pics doesn’t appear to have many scuffs on the motor, but is likely one of the better looking in the group. They also come with some rough cut MDF rings I used as an extra precaution to keep the surrounds in place. You could use them if you want, or throw them away… they are definitely not perfect as I just whipped them out the day before finals as a last minute precaution. You will also notice that I've taped up around the basket where the tinsel leads attach. This is to protect the amps from short circuit if the leads break and start flapping in the breeze.
