D2 Vs. L7..

Alright.. The past couple months.. I have had my mind set on a pair of 15" L7's that I would be on 2500wts in a ported box tuned to about 32.. I have been checking the fourms though and I have begun to be very interested in the Magnum D2's.. I know you only send about 500wts to them, so how do they perform.. How do they compare to eachother..? Is L7 SQ that bad.. and how is the SPL on the D2's..? I want it to get freaking loud, but then again, I want it to be good enough SQ that I can still get majority of the notes.. Any help is appreciated..

i have 2 12" l7's in sealed 1.5 cu ft apeice chambers, under powered with a 1200.1 and it is louder than i need it, and the subs sound really nice, now i need to work on the part about my car rattling the trunk open.

Would that L7 setup be daily driver? Because 2500 watts is, in my opinion, absolutely incredibly ridiculously overkill for a DD.

I just got my D2 today and I don't know about only 500rms to it but I'm going to give it about 1000rms. Soon as the amp and box get here it'll all be good.

I've used both.

L7 SPL=good

L7 SQ=gross

Magnum SPL=good

Magnum SQ=heaven

Power handling is in favor of the Magnum as well.

yes...i was mad i didn't take advantage of that sale a while ago...but i still think they're worth every penny i paid for the! :thumbs_up And, as soon as alternator comes in...i'll be sending each of mine about 1200 watts rms. peace
