Do you still need a cap if you have ....

+1, and the debate begins. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Begins?? BFS...it CONTINUES.

Not that anyone cares -- but my opinion...

if your amps are worth 2 shytz they have all the internal capacitance they need. If you bought pyramids or boss's, sure - get a cap. MAYBE it will help...something.

One things for sure - you'll never hear a gd thing.

you should have one installed even if you dont have a system. it helps the thing recharge the dodad so your muffler bearing stays connected to the jackrod so your car lasts a few extra miles. moron.

|)/-\|\/||\| it, forgot about the muffler bearing/jackrod connection. You're right. I'll order one now.

i have the big 3, a 200A alternator. on long bass notes my **** goes dim for the very first fraction of a second then my alternator supplies enough current to bring the voltage up, but when i listen to trance and **** with just a quick bass hit the alt never even has the time to react to the increased load. lol i think in this situation is the only time a cap should be used. for that quick bass hit where it is too short for the alternator to catch up but just long enough for the cap to do its job at giving a little juice for a couple hundred milleseconds
