technically it is where the cross-section meets the loading position of the flare. This enables for proper phase output from the rear of the driver to the front of the driver and being in phase from that point to the full flare opening.Thanks, 30
And you would have your theoretical port length come out from the where the port begins getting larger, not all the way out but not all the way to the back either.
