Ive noticed that most car speakers advertise by max watts, with rms after, should i buy an amplifier based on rms? or max? ive never had anything to do with amplifiers before and im rather new to car audio as a whole
that pioneer n2audio recommended would be a good first amp for you.Ive already got a sub with a built in amp, no need for that yet, looking to buy a 4 channel amp for the door speakers actually, have 4 6.5s that each rate about 80 watts RMS and my head unit is aftermarket, but isnt enough to power the speakers, only putting out i believe 50 watts (i am open to speaker suggestions as well) my budget would be about 200-300 maximum on the amp
Im not finding any thing on an n2audio ampthat pioneer n2audio recommended would be a good first amp for you.
again never look at max watts you arent getting anywhere near 50 watts. Aftermarket head units are10-15 watts at best even if they rate it 22 watts rms.
Max power, peak power, just plain power numbers, throw ALL THAT TO THE TRASH. only thing that matters is RMS numbers but garbage companies can lie on those numbers as well.
What you want to do is look up amplifier dyno videos on youtube, its hooked up to a machine that shows if its making rated power or not.
n2audio is the guy that commented before me..... please read lmao.Im not finding any thing on an n2audio amp
