Hey,

I need to buy 2 subs and a box for my truck, i need to know what cheaper subs will pound harder than other "low-income" subs. I have heard good of 10" mtx road thunders, (futureshop 49.99 Can)

will these pound for me, i have about 280$ can to spend on 2 subs and box. i would like to build my own box, but i am not sure how to carpet it properly. please tell me how hard it is to so.(i am very skilled in the building arts, my only concern is cost.)

Thanks

my friend used to have 1 mtx sub, and the peak power was 400, he was puting 280watts into it and he blew the sub. I personally don't like mtx. I'd go with the RF HE2's or RF HE, u can get them for about $100-120. The HE2 is dual voice coil also, and can handle 400rms/800peak.

SI makes nice subs. I'm an XBL guy myself, but I tend to listen to neutral/flat sounding drivers in general.

These are also very good drivers, some of the best bang for the busk on shallow mounts. DD Audio SL610-D2 10"...

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...
