that 500watt sony will actually drive a set of 10's well with my experience...........

Not a lot of power, at least without a high THD, but it is quite a bit better than a head unit trying to power some subs. It works if it's all you got.

I had a 760w or whatever the hell sony amp a while back, it powered up a pair of cvr 12s pretty decent, better than any of the other amps i had tried on them. Of course they were not any bigger wattage, but better brands and the sony did better.
