Install help on 2002 Tahoe + Amp kit Q

He doesnt have the money right now for a new HU.

With that LOC, can I use the subout for the signal or will I have to use one of the other speakers?

What will I do about the remote turn on wire? I can't find a diagram.

uhh that line converter is nice, but if u go to Circuit City they have them Tsunami ones for 20$ and it wont cost u shipping and all. if u have a independent sub out control on ur unit check if they are RCA's? if not tap intoo it with a Line COnverter and use it taht way. so it wont use ur rear channel speakers for the sub's

The kicker will take speaker level inputs like a champ. Also, you can get remote turn on on the back of the fusebox under the dash. When you pop off the lower dash panel on the driver side you'll see the wires coming out of the back of the fusebox. There is a heavy gauge brown wire there, its accessory. Perfect remote turn on for a car that doesn't have ignition behind the radio.

I am worried about useing hte stock sub for my input. If it has hte factory xover, you think it will sound shitty?

rear speaker wire colors should be

LR +brown

LR - yellow

RR + dark blue

RR - Light blue

I'm not sure the crossover frequencies of the factory sub, but i say try picking up the input from there and if it doesn't sound right to you, change it. Never hurts to try it out first.

Will there be a separate wire coming out of the HU for the factory sub signal? Does anyone know what color it is? Also- I have the BOSE system- does that make a difference?

Thx.

Can you sell the LOC and buy a head unit for that price that will do all of what both of those things would do?
