I finally after months of having stuff sitting around got my lil system installed. Of course with my luck i knew something was going to go wrong. After everything got installed, i turned on my car and BAM! ugly rattle coming from right side mid, i take out mids, took a close look and connectors and there it was...RUST! Water damage! Now i have to get a new set of mids....what sounds good? I would like to spend a bit over $300 if neccesary.

I dont think its necessary to spend $300+ on just mids. Hessdawg has a pair of ID OEMs left for $90

yeah, it has 3 1/2 depth and i only have 2 1/2" depth. The comp set i have was old school eclipse.

Surface rust on the motor and/or frame is very common and generally wont hurt anything.

Thanks for reminding me. I have a pair of those I swapped out for HERTZ 2 ways that have been sitting in the garage for like a year now not boxed that well. I guess I should go see if they're garbage now. Shame, those are pretty nice speakers.
