i think he was just saying IF you had 16v and it was 100% efficient thats the most it would do....which we all know would never happen. That POS would let out the magic smoke at 16v...

my buddy had 2 power acoustik A3000db which IMO is a far better amp than the Kole...board layout and general design, and he cooked them at just in under a month and he was running a dual alternator setup with 2 big kinetik batteries in his suburban....

He probably had the gain and bass boost crank all the way up.

About 90% of today's class d amplifiers are about 75% efficient at a 1ohm load. Every amp will loose some of it's efficiency the lower the impdiance load. I know this for a fact, I repair car amplifiers for a hobby.

I think it's just how they rated there amps. All of kickers class d's are underrated.
