So I just bought one of these RWE-302 - MB Quart 12" 1000 Watt Reference Series Subwoofer for $69!! Pretty good price for something I am just going to abuse for a little bit and have fun.
I am not certain which box to buy before I commit to building one. Should I go ported or sealed for this woofer? Its Qts is ,565 but I would like to know if this sub will work fine in a ported box.
This Sonic Sub Boxes 1SV12-GRAY - 12" Ported and Vented Subwoofer Enclosures - Sonic Electronix is the box I was looking at, deciding between if I want to: a) go ported and build a box or b) stay sealed and build one to spec?
I have never done a ported box and for my first time I want to experiment to see if I like it or not?
I drive a Hatch back so I hear port noise can be an issue...
So basically I am wondering if this particular box will work for this sub (will the sub fit) or should I not waste my time? Its ONLY $35 and free shipping!!
