How is it worn out? I would leave it alone.how do you replace a motor for a sub? I want to put a new motor on my idmax. its a little worn out, but it still work..how do match up the motors do you just screw another one in?
Yeah I'd check amp and wiring first. Then a possible re-cone. It's not your motor unless it got jacked up somehowAll the motor is, is magnets and top and bottom plates. The only way it could be worn out is if you demagnatized it somehow. If your suspension is really soft and doesn't feel like its rubbing could have a broken lead and its not playing or possible problems with amp.
