Hello all
Im looking to upgrade the stereo system in my Boxster but I’m struggling to find room to add a subwoofer. The only location left is in the door but would only house something of 5 inches.
Does a 5 inch sub exist? If so, where can I find one? If there’s an alternative please advise. I just need more bass and not really wanting an underseat sub

Can't you use the Frunk as well? I wouldn't do something this ugly but plenty of room.

There are 5.25 inch subs that actually sound very nice, but they will probably not handle the power you’re going to want in your car. You’d likely need to use 4 of them to get decently loud enough to viably use them in a car.

I’m not looking for crazy loud just something better than the original setup which is now over 20 years old. What make were the 5.25 Subs?

yes there are some very small low powered subs you can buy.

I would do a footwell one. if you want to build you own box, hit me up. i can help and we can make it however you want it. we can look at ALL options.
You’re a little far from me lol
Having it in the footwell just restricts the limited space I already have so not really that keen.
Decided on some mid woofers in the door now so the subs will have to be fitted somehow in the rear or go for a box in the frunk. Am I going to here it frunk? Just worried I’m going to get lots of bonnet vibrations

I meant just a design plan, not a build. No worries though!

Is there any room in between the seat at all?
