Pioneer launches 2008 line of HU's

where exactly in asia? thanks

Taiwan, China, Thailand, India and I think even Trademe (NZ/AU) is selling the basic models already ! The official launch is slated for Jan 2008. Check my link at the bottom of the previous page

The one thing that pisses me off about pioneer, and i ripped my product specialist and sales rep, is that they claim that Premier is a line ment for "authorized" dealers only and that you couldn't get it online or from distributors, but they ***** the stuff out to everyone. I said to my rep, how do you expect us to sell this stuff when they can go to etronics and get it for my cost. He says that they don't buy directly form them and i said to him thats ********. Our last year we sold $50,000 worth of pioneer stuff and they said that wasn't good enough and cut us off.
Thats why so many dealers are keeping there numbers up, dumping product on Ebay.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Who said this is the new lineup.?? This looks like the Japanese or Chinese versions of the '07 lineup to me. Also, Pioneer's new models don't usually launch til late spring. Perosnally, if the 880 and 980 are the flagships once again I will just shake my head at Pioneer. Nothing against the 880 but it's been out for 2 model years now and it's time for a new SQ deck from Pioneer. Other than the P9 that is.

Looks like it's the 980 and 880 once again, though I'm suprised they didn't update them with new features. They have a nice line of double-din units I haven't seen before, and also carry over the same design to some single din units (7000bt, 700bt, 6000bt, 600bt, 5000bt....etc) They give them a sleeker design with a flat face and more streamlined rotary knob, and also integrate USB 2.0input for Ipods with an alphabetical search feature along with file navigation for other USB drives/MP3 players. This would have been a HUGE upgrade for the 980 and 880 since it would eliminate the need for the CD-IB100ii, which is a hastle to install and also has lag issues with my ipod, personally (w/ a 980bt). I personally don't know what Pioneer was thinking.....

What kind of rca problems did this years Pioneer line have? I just bought a DEHP4900MP. Is that going to give me trouble?
umm its always possible but i dont think ever guaranteed. check this out. I did it and it works perfectly, except my amp is crappy so sometimes i have problems with it, but that not the cd player its the amp.

I also found this interesting...

Clarion will launch some new 2008 products ahead of its full introduction next year. These products have just been shipped out from our factory.Pioneer & Clarion have now realized the potential of standard connectivity in the head units. On December 6th, Pioneer launched its new head units - made for India & ready to take on anything (AUX-IN), iPod & USB. And On 10th, Clarion introduced two head units with USB connectivity, that were supposed to be launched in 2008.
