Problem w/ speakers

I've got a 2000 Ford Lightning w/ 2 10" subs behind the seats. Everything else is stock to my knowledge.

The problem is that whenever I turn the wheel to the left, the audio goes out in the passenger-side speakers. If going straight or turning right, all is fine. As soon as the steering wheel turns towards the left even a little, the audio disappears on the passenger side.

What is the likely cause?

Does it do it sitting still and just turning the wheel? Sounds like some wiring is around the steering column. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if you have steering wheel radio controls, take the covers off the steering column and see if you can pull any slack into the wires for the radio buttons, the sport trac has the same issue with the cruise control, radio, etc., pulling some slack into the wires will help, or you have a dirty/loose connection on the steering wheel buttons.
