Sealed trunk

I have a sealed trunk in my 94 buick regal, i was just wondering if i could hear the subwoofers well and what i would need to do to make them sound louder (without drilling holes). can anybody help me out?

remove rear speakers if they're in the back deck.

Cut out the insulation between the trunk and cab [behind back seat]
