1998 BMW M3 2-door coupe
I've had the car for a while but haven't really put much time into the car audio because I'm not too crazy about it, however the previous owner was (Zapco amp, Zapco Processor, McIntosh MX406 and a whole bunch of dynamat) and after removing some stuff I would like to have a nice setup.
The doors have custom panels to fit 6.5" midranges, tweeters in the front, and what looks like 4" bass in the back rear panel.
So....
Amp: Soundstream 705s
Speakers: (1) Kenwood KIV BIT-901...really like it
(2) JL Tweeters...work fine
(2) Diamond Audio S6.0m...one has voice coil rub which i will replace the pair
(2) unknown 4" bass components....can't find any markings (will look further)
(2) Diamond Audio Hex 5.0 corssovers...
the previous owner set up the crossovers and the whole setup as a LEFT & RIGHT system so from the crossovers to the amp i have 2 sets of speaker lines for the 3 speakers on the right of the car and the 3 speakers on the left of the car.
What and how should I do for a nice setup?
i really don't feel like changing out the whole component system
^ if the best bet is to do so, i will need to save up some cash or sell my pair of 8" diamon audio's
but preferrably i can work off the existing setup
I have no idea how to wire it up (AS IN bridged and what not and amp settings to what channel... i know how to strip and crimp and all that) I would rather ask some knowledgable people on here than throw away money at somewhere like Best Buy or Al & Eds //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
p.s. i was looking to spend between $60-$90 for midranges...or $120 tops for the component setup if i have to
