I'm looking to buy an Arc 8" subwoofer.

Their website states that the sub box can be:

Minimum Sealed Enclosure .35 cuft.

Optimum Sealed Enclosure .45 cuft

Maximum Sealed Enclosure .55 cuft

I'd like to get the smallest enclosure possible, so .35 cuft in this case. How would an Arc 8" sub sound in a .55 cuft, better or worse or not difference at all?

I'd go bigger and custom so you won't have to add ton of fill and I' am not a hage fan of the little inky dinky sealed boxes myself. Why not go ported? Ask Mylows10 he's a vendor for them can give you an idea.

1.25 NET cubes. You have to add the sub and port displacement to the box. I'm guessing that you will be around 1.7 net before sub and port...

It depends on how cheap you wanna go but I've had excellent results with a 12inch power acoustic gothic sub in a small sealed enclosure for budget...

Ah, thanks for the advice, but you make that sound like that's a foregone conclusion. The crossovers I swapped out look and sound exactly the same...
