Sundown SA-8 a SQ driver????

it sounds good, but its not really "SQ." with that power, I suggest a .8 cubic foot box. and with your music tastes, it might benefit you to tune a little high, perhaps 36-38 hz although someone else can chime in. My sundown sa-8 is tuned to 34, but I listen to a good bit of rap.

 
The sa8 v1 has placed well in sq competitions even though it wasnt specifically designed around the lowest levels of distortion. So yes, it can sound quite good in a good enclosure alignment.

The sa8 v2 is easily one of the top 8s available at any price for low levels of measurable distortion -- supported by klippel test data.
