budget is 2k for 2 subs, comps and 2 amps. I just want a loud groundpounder, doesn't have to be a SQ system but not SPL either. I listen to alot of old skool rap, old skool R&B, soul, lots of old Metallica, Rage, stuff like thatGoals? Budget? Listening Prefs?

i priced all Audioque
2 12" HDC3-a's
1 AQ2200d
their comps and their comp amp and it came to $1350ish shipped
yes...i made a mistake right thurrI wouldn't get the aluminum coils if you're going to run a pair off a single 2200 as the coppers will take that easily.
I dont know if the same holds true for audioque, but sundownz said that in his testing he found that aluminum coil is louder than copper with the same amount of power in otherwise identical setups. personally, I would get aluminum coils for the sole fact that it would give you headroom if you wanted to upgrade eventually.I wouldn't get the aluminum coils if you're going to run a pair off a single 2200 as the coppers will take that easily.
yeah, i don't plan on upgrading my electrical to support 3500 watts....i'll just have a 140 amp alt and 1 extra battery. I don't really need the extra wattageid def get the 3500d instead
i wouldn't know, they are both daily rated at 1000 wrms. And i would get the copper coil not the alum. like i mistakenly postedIm not sure why the hdc keeps getting compared to much less capable subs.. Hdc is more comparible to the mt...
