I Have a 8053 with a 8 Volt Line Driver should I take out the Eclipse and put in the Pioneer I am hearing alot of good things about this deck and It should make my system sound even better from what I have been hearing from other people. What is your opinion on this deck thanks:)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif:)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D:cool://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif

tough to beat an 8053 active. it is a dead-head w/8v outputs for each channel of 3-way active. 10 band PEQ, dual 24-bit DACs, etc. It only plays CDA files, no compressed crap, but does have an AUX in. MP3 and iPod modules CAN be purchased. The only SQ thing is that is doesn't EQ each side independently.

hit me up if you decide to sell it.

I'm a Pioneer guy thats for sure. But the 8053 is the best deck Eclipse has ever put out when it comes to SQ in my opinion. I would take that over the 800 any day of the week. If your primary concern is SQ then you aren't going to hear any improvements by switching to the 800 PRS. If you're looking for a different look and modern conveniences then maybe the 800 is for you. But don't expect the 800 to sound better.

To the OP: If you're going to try a new deck in your car, word of advice, do NOT sell that 8053 til you know you won't be putting it back in there. You'll regret it if you sell it right away.

Thanks for the info I do not think I will sell the deck I was just curious, whats great about the net is you get people that reveiw what ever it may be and in this case I have heard very good things about the Pioneer Deck so I was interested to see if I should swap them out or not.

I run a CD 8051, which is almost the exact same as the 8053 and I love it. I don't have to worry about the EQ on the deck though because I have an external EQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
