Type-X's Keep Blowing

I sure don’t like that box for a Type X. I personally like selaed boxes for those if I were to put one in my car, but in a ported box it needs to be more air space, more port area and lower port tuning than that Skar box. It’s choking in that thing.
 
What's it tuned too?
Yes it was. The Sub was tuned to the Box.

I found out today that Alpine don't want to replace the sub because it's now out of warranty. I've told them straight. I don't expect the Subwoofer to blow conveniently after warranty has expired.

If you want something weather resistant, get a marine amplifier.
