which exhaust for my rsx

well now that the costs of my system are settled its time to look into performance. AEM intake is on the way so the next thing is exhaust. i dont want a rice burner, i dont even want one thats loud. a nice low mellow sound would be great but i doubt i can get that from a 4 cylinder. so is there an aftermarket exhaust thats actually quiet?

only aftermarket exhaust that sounds like stock is the rsr. as for low look at things like magnaflow but itll be loud. as for annoying but decent gains look at a rice brand like greddy or nopi.

i really dont know which exhaust im looking at. thats why i asked. all i know is i dont want a nasty sounding exhaust. my friend has magnaflow on his jetta and it sounds pretty ricey, even though magnaflow is a reputable company and he probally gained 5-10 hp

i have a magnaflow on mine and it sounds just as deep as a 6cyl buttt its loud so thats the bad part

from that small of an engine unless you turbo it or do a full 3" dp and all that ****, you won't gain but maybe 2-6whp. i'd say magnaflow but i've never heard them on a 4 cylinder that wasn't turbo'd. other than that maybe greddy but they can be loud.

do no muffler...take off the resonators and do straight pipe if you want that true engine sound, if you dont want it to loud just do the pipe but leave the resonators on
