i have an alpine pdxv9 amp 350wrms 4ohm. i need

1, a little bit more volume

2, keep a nice tone out the sub.

i figure a second sub i can get a little more volume with only turning the sub up 75% of what it is now, anf also benefit from a better tone.

will adding a second sub do this for me?

1/ changing the amp is noy an option

2/ should both subs be around 350wrms or half that...thinking the two together should equal 350wrms

3/ does it matter if its series or parallel...besides the ohms being a factor in that.

I don't know as much as others here so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I did have a similar question though back in the day for my local car audio store. (not quite the same, but similar, again the grain of salt thing)

I had two 12''s on an amp, and I wanted to upgrade to some JL 13'' but without changing the amp. What I was told was that I really wouldn't see much gain in performance unless the amp was upgraded too. Now there may be some slight gain, but the consensus was that it wasn't really going to be worth it. Also, I would have had to had a new box built as well so that may have been another factor in the "not being worth it" factor. If I had a big enough box to house the new speakers I'm not sure if it would then be worth it or not. It's best to keep things in sync nicely if you know what i mean (proper amount of watts for the sub).

Again, grain of salt. Sorry I don't know more

Brahmas are nice. I have a 10" Mk1. Just a single 10 was enough for me.

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...
