wiring won't work

Headunit?

Check the ground, I know when I had a faulty ground, the amps will power up for like 5-10 sec, and then die.

 
what are you running the amps, is it a 4-channel or sub, whats the ohm load your running at, whats the wire size and the current draw?

answer these question and i can give you an answer on what your problem is

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

Yup , the dsp should have input sections, it may have one for sub? Hu to dsp. Dsp to amps, amps to speakers. Probably help you to draw this all...
