You're freaking soft if you're going to shell out a grand for a head unit and not put up the extra couple hundred to buy from a legit retailer with warranty. If you just need help someone re-shipping to dodge customs taxes make sure you pick someone with a spotless track record for trades.

Haha. What's the shelf price from a legit retailer in the US? Over here is $1500AUD for the P99RS. The bluetooth module adds cost to $500.

Right now we're close to parity so that's $2000USD

So unfortunately it's more than a "extra couple hundred" for a new item compared to some used process I've seen...

Most smart people with these should have treated them like gold so I would hope some used units are like new

They're like 1400 at Crutchfield. I'm quite certain I've seen them for 1200$ elsewhere online from big shops.

You'd certainly hope a used one would be taken care of and that the price buys a unit solid enough to last a few years.... I'd buy 1000$ amp all day long used, but something about head units makes me nervous is all.
