FEATURED Hyundai Cilantro.. I mean Elantra!

The cable for the alternator is cut to length and terminated at both ends with 0awg 5/16th copper terminals. They are crimped very well and sealed with 3:1 heat shrink with adhesive. The cable will be sleeved with high temp black flex loom.

I took the car on a test drive where I could really open up the stereo. Bass knob on max, radio on max and I tossed on some Bass Mechanik while driving (2,000 rpm) and the lowest voltage I saw was 13.3v. I was beating those subs as much as I could with all the power I have and 13.3v was as low as it would drop. The second "battery", the Ioxus barely came down 10% of its capacity so the alternator is handling the AGM up front and the Ioxus out back while full tilt on the bass.

This means I can move forward with my plan of a larger sub amp and a 6 channel solution for the active front stage... or the JP7.

Nice!!!

My air horn stopped working again so I decided to hook the little compressor right to the original two horn wires. I know there is a large relay for that circuit already so no sense in my mind to have two relays on the same circuit. Well, the horn came to life right away. Crisp, no delays and loud as hell. Cleaned up the wires behind the grill pretty good too by knocking it down to just two short wires.

As you may know, I blew up a Punch 500x2 amp. Not sure how I did it but I did. I thought about it and for similar money I can buy another Punch 500x2 and a Down4Sound JP13 and have my full active setup.

Punch 400x4 - (50w x 4 @ 4ohms) mids and tweeters
Punch 500x2 - (150 x 2 @ 4ohms) midbass
D4S JP13 - ("1300"w x 1 @ 1ohm) subwoofers (OldSchoolStereo Dyno Certified @ 1 ohm 2057w @ 13.72v, Dynamic 2603w @ 13.63v)

I think we all know what my dumb ass is about to do lol. Which should I get first? The JP or the RF?

Is there a BT, USB or other AUX option? May be time to convert your CDs to a solid sate option and use it until you replace the init altogether.

This would go a long way to alleviating the dimming issue, up to around 4000 watts. It can handle 100A continuous and up to 285A 7 second burst...

Fully test it without the ACR-1. TBH it sounds like an amplifier issue. Try connecting your phone direct to the amp via a 3.5mm to RCA cable. If...
