8 D2's = 2ohm?

Not really a clusterfuck at all...
So you have one pair of dual2ohm subs, series/parallel to 2ohm...

Since you have 4 pairs... you have four 2ohm loads...

Series two pair... you have two 4ohm load.

Parallel the two quads, you have a 2ohm load.

Easy.

Werd!

Theres alot of dumb ****s posting in here. Ohms law is very simple for the most part, if you dont know how to add and divide resistances please read up on it. If you wire all the coils in series, wire 4 subs in parallel to 1 ohm, then wire the other group to 1 ohm, you can wire them in series to the amp.

Edit, Ngs way also works, but seems complicated, lol. I remember reading something about wiring coils in series increases motor force, but i dont recall exactly what it was.

2 of these parralelled will give you a two ohm load

god i love rockfords website. so helpful

Since the meter is set to a higher resistance, it is not going to give a "fine tuned" reading. At 200k Ohms, 100 Ohms +/- is not an issue. When...

2x 4 ohm coils can be wired parallel to 2 ohms or series to 8 ohms. There's many amps with 2 ohm power you can use.
