I have 2 12 inch 8 ohm svc kicker xpl's (yeah there a little old) and right now im running em on a crappy 300 watt 2 channel amp, each on there own channel. I want to upgrade amps, what type of amp (like mono or 2 channel) and how should i configure it? (xpl's are rated at 500w max but can go higher usually)

I have the same subs except in the 15" model. Yours are rated at 500rms, the amp I recommend is the one I have, it's an MTX 81000d. It will deliver 729rms to the subs and they will sound excellent in the right enclosure.
