First off, I'm selling because I can't do car audio anymore due to health problems. I purchased this radio from the now closed company, Elemental Designs, in 2009. I am the only owner of this radio, the only one who's ever had possession of it since brand new. It was in a F150 for a year or so, then it was used in an Explorer from 2010 until 2014, when I got too sick to do anything. It sat in my explorer until 2018, until I sold the Explorer and moved. It's been in my closet ever since.
This radio has 4v RCA pre-outs. It's really probably higher than that, people used to say 4.8v iirc. It has a 7 band graphic eq or a 5 band parametric eq. You can use the pre-outs for front and rear speakers + a subwoofer, or you have the option to run a true sound quality 3 way system. There's a switch on the radio body to change this circumstance. Also has adjustable crossovers for all channels, iirc you can do between -6db to-24 db per octave slope. Of course it has time correction on all channels, too!!! It allows you to also turn off the normal speaker outputs when all you use is RCA's, so you don't waist power. That setting is in the radio menu.
Radio is old, still works as it always has. All 4 speakers channels work, as well as all RCA pre-outs. I just tested it, full volume on the RCA's, then about ~80% volume on the regular speaker wires before it got too loud. The metal body is somewhat discolored, 50 shades of grey haha. Just from age, no water or excessive heat or anything. Nothing is broken. The face still lights up normally. The next track/forward button is faded and doesn't make a clicking sound, but is fully functional It's been that way since 2011 or so.
I DO HAVE A FULLY FUNCTIONAL TRIM RING FOR IT. Also comes with the cage, wiring harness, old school wide iPod cable and an old 80gb iPod. My ridiculous bass levels broke the plastic trim on the iPod connector basically as soon as I got it. I used it that way for years with no problems. All wires on the wiring harness have plenty of room to extend or add your vehicles wiring harness to it. I just cut the old Ford wiring harness off, I DID NOT CUT INTO THE RADIO'S WIRING HARNESS AT ALL. The iPod will not operate unless plugged in (old battery), it's been that way since 2011, when I bought it. The iPod's screen has something behind it, but you can still read it. It has like 1100 songs on it and a bass playlist. Older music <2014. The iPod can only be controlled from the radio when plugged into it. I just left it plugged up to my radio so I could slam my 2 18's in the high 140 db's. I do not have the remote for it.
Price is shipped to the lower 48 . I am open to trade for a 1440p or 2k pc monitor. We can do facetime or something if you need to.
This is such an incredible radio. I was I had a use for it. It's only the second radio I've ever owned. Anyways, here it is!
