i blew out one of my premier dvc 4ohm 10s, (had them wired series and one set of wires were too short, dont ask...) and i cant live without bass, so i hooked the other sub up at 8ohms because my amp doesnt take a 2 ohm load mono. and I thought it would be about half as loud, but i can barely hear it. i had my ppi pc2600 to them @4ohms running ~600watts rms, now @ohms it sounds like 100 maybe even 50, then i hooked up my fosgate 1000a2 to it @8ohms, its a more powerfull amp, but it wasnt even as loud as the PPI, i guess they arent meant to run at 8 ohms...
