Amp wiring voltage issue, amp not turning on

Hi, first time poster here.

I am having troubles getting my 2ch kicker amp turning on and powering up.

It's all wired up and definitely getting 12volts at the power from battery and ground connection

Amp 'low voltage' light is coming on. Remote is connected via thin wire which is part of RCA leads.

What voltage should I have at remote wire?

I've heard they can be an issue if they're too thin.

How could I check the amp isn't faulty/shorted? But the low voltage led does come on red (suppost to be green is powered up)

As it's only getting around 5-6 volts at power terminals of amp.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. So confused and puzzled by this.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
