best place for cheap install kits?

I was looking on ebay and saw some install kits that have most of what I need. Are these kits good quality or am I getting what I pay for? I like the power acoustik kits I've seen online but shipping from these stores is more than the kit costs itself for some reason. Oh and I was wondering what size speaker wire I should get for my sub. Its an e12k. Thanks again.

Check your local electronics surplus store. One over here sells some decent Monster Cable and Scosche wiring kits for really cheap. I got an 8 gauge kit for $10.

Thanks guys. I looked on walmarts site but I didn't see any 4 gauge install kits. Only 8 gauge. I know car stereo shops charge an arm and a leg for **** so I don't go there.

yeah, Wal Mart's website doesn't list all of their kits. my 3 nearest Wal Marts all carry at least 3 different amp kits. i bought the biggest kit, which has 4ga wiring. runs about $25, and includes just about everything you'll need for the install.

Well I went to 2 walmarts and neither had the 4 gauge kits in stock. Since I need 8 gauge anyways I bought one of those and an amplifier power supply kit in 4 gauge.

I still need to know what size wire to use for my sub guys.

use 12ga, and you'll be golden. you could probably even get by with 14ga, but why not stick with 12, and then you'll be set even if you upgrade.

Alright thanks. Just wanted to be sure I got what I need the first time. Can't wait till I have everything for my install. I'll get pics up while I install and a completed project though.
