I am getting a 2003 Nissan Xterra and I want it to sound good, can anyone tell me what I could put in it as far as audio, I dont know **** about car audio, but I want my car to sound good without getting too expensive, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

What kind of sound are you looking for? Do you want excessive bass or overall clarity.

Go to a local car audio shop and just listen to some stuff they have up there to get an idea of what you want in a system(if you like more bass, more highs, etc) and let us know some of the stuff that sounded good to you, don't buy anything just yet. You should also let us know how much funds you got to work with cuz that decides a lot. But I can guarantee that we can get you the best for your money.

this is how i started off. in not much time you'll be wanting subs multiple amps components alternators oh man it's like a sickness. anyways try just upgrading your stock speakers. start with that first and if you decide you need more then get more. aftermarket speakers and possibly a new headunit will sound a lot better then stock. don't need to be top of the line i find that pioneer speakers are very good for low power setups (running them off head unit) and are inexpensive but you kinda got to fill us in more on what you are really looking for.
