HU dims, Amp light Dims, bass cuts off for 1 sec.

was the thing it did this too... and yuh check the alt but check the speaker wiring from par and switchin to series if i recall right that light is the imedence light

 
You should beg, borrow or steal someone's AutoSound 2000 Technical Brief for October - November 1992.

In this publication, Dave Navone and Richard Clark demonstrate a very simple way to see if you need a High Output Alternator, additional battery, or Capacitor.

This subject was again brought up in the December 1994 issue, since people are always talking about dimming lights, upgrading alternators, etc.

yea you should get a copacitor try mtx's thier pretty good also make shure your battery wires are big enough so that the amp gets enough energy.
