New MTX Thunder 7500

The 7500 was the same design as the Thunder7000, Blue Thunder Extreme, Thunder8000, MXS, and first generation Xtant X series(slight variations in each but same motor/coil setup). All produced by Mytek. All were very good drivers. Not a ton of output...but low and clean. The only problem with all of these subs was lead-slap and if pushed too hard the leads would break off of the former at the solder joint. I've had the BT Extreme, 8000, and Xtant. Loved all of them.

this isnt to argue or anything but you say it doesnt have a ton of output but for the price and 400wrm i cant complain. I only payed 90 brand new. so as far as bang for the buck this thing is top notch. Also on the mtx site they have the 9500 doing a voltage test and 3 other top brands blew out and the mtx was still goin strong at like 140 volts. I dont understand the testing with volts but that thing was really moving and didnt seem to have any issue. THis sub is by far better than my pioneer. I love the single magnet design rather than the two magnets on my pioneer and this thing is so much stiffer and i love how the cone is actually stitched to the surround. I havent seen that much. All in all im impressed and my box is almost done so we will see what this thing can do in a ported box tuned to 38hz. Im think this thing will sound great. I cant wait!

I bought my bro the 15" 7500 some yrs back & it is a good sounding sub. Looks good & I like the stitching from the rubber surround to the cone..quality build
