Hi all, my first post here so lets see how good the forum is...lol.
I recently dug out an old amp that I had some years ago, knowing it was faulty thought I'd have a look as Mrs wanted a little more in her car so thought it might be worth a punt.
So having plugged it in to refresh my memory of the fault its popping 30amp fuses as soon as you plug it in... I've got it apart and first thing I've checked is the protection diode across the 12v + & ground, it seems to be dead short as its reading both ways and at a guess this would cause the effect that I am getting, popping fuses...
Trouble is there appears to no markings on the diode, ANY thoughts as to what would be suitable diode to replace it with ????
Thanks all![Big grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
