pc subs in car?

sorry.. i found a 250w power converter to plug it into instead.. it just has a cable that plugs into the one speaker tahts the same kind of cable that your keyboard uses

u mean like a USB? But seriously don't do that, it might even cause problems later on. Just save ur money on the tried and true route

 
Just buy a cheap 12" sub or so, low powered one. Then get a small amp, maybe 300watts. An 8ga wire kit and you done. You will spend maybe $125 at most, unless you find a deal here. there was a guy selling a 12" Xplode and an amp for $100 IIRC

I hooked a 4" vented computer sub up to the stock amp in place of my 6x9's once.. the factory amp had enough to blow that useless thing in like a night. Heh. It worked for a little while though.

Most likely your ground. I've seen that happen, the sub looks like it's playing a 5 Hz note. If one piece of equipment doesn't have a good ground...
