I either want a 12"SX, 15"SX, 12" XXX, or 15"XXX

The XXX owns the SX in sound quality. A 15 SX will get louder than a 12XXX, especially with both at 1500watts.

What is your ultimate goal here ... what do you want to achieve ? By your choices, it seems like you want it pretty darn loud and to sound pretty good as well. But let's just clarify.

The 15" is within my budget as long as i can get it for no more than 350 including shipping.

The price of a 15" SX is not much less than a 15"XXX. A 15" SX is like 299+ship or 310+ship.

The XXX will still own the SX for soundquality if they both have the same watts?

About how much airspace does the XXX need to function?

but i cant find anywhere what the cuft they need and tuning they need in a ported box.

i want the 18" SX for $309 if it fits in my trunk.

yes the XXX is the best sounding woofer RE makes. Id go with the XXX for sure.
